<br />AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC
<br />HEARINGS BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS ON THE
<br />PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CEF.TAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE NiAYOR
<br />TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS:
<br />Section l. That public hearings be held by and
<br />before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
<br />in Special Session convened on the 20th day of October,
<br />1988, at 5:15 o'clock p.m., in the Ccuncil Rcom, City Hall,
<br />Paris, Texas; and by and before the City Council of the City
<br />of Paris, Paris, Texas, in Special Session convened on the
<br />24th day of October, 1988, at 5:15 o'clock p.m., in the
<br />Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, giving all interested
<br />persons the right tn appear and be heard on the proposed
<br />annexation o� the following described property:
<br />Being situated in the William Brazier Survey, Ira
<br />Reules Survey, J. Dalton Survey, R. Rattan Survey, J.
<br />Rattan Survey, A. Mclnturff Survey, M.E.P. & P,R.R.
<br />Survey, Wm. Chisum Survey, Thomas Askins Survey, John
<br />L. Love j oy Survey , W. H. Merr i 11 Survey , T. G. Chi sum
<br />Survey, B. F. Bourland Survey, J. Watson Survey and
<br />kedin Russell Survey and more particularly described as
<br />follows:
<br />BEGINNING at a point in the North Boundary Line of
<br />F.M. Highway 79, sai.d point being the Southwest corner
<br />of a tract of land conveyed H. J. Boggs by deed
<br />recorded in Vol. 268, Page 176 of the Deed Records of
<br />La�ar County, Texas, and said point being in the
<br />present City Limit line of the City of Paris;
<br />THENCE Northwesterly with the North Boundary Line
<br />of F.M. Highway 79, 8,450 feet more or less to the
<br />Southwest corner of a tract of land conveyed the City
<br />of Paris by deed recorded in Volume 197, Page 180 of
<br />said Deed Records, said point being the Southwest
<br />corner of a 2,717 acre tract of land known as the Lake
<br />Crook Property;
<br />THENCE with the West and North Boundary Lines of
<br />the Lake Crook Praperty, the tollowing course and
<br />distance: North 2,740 feet to a point; West 600 feet
<br />to a point; North 2,950 feet to a point; East 2,100
<br />feet to a point; North 1,200 feet to a point; East
<br />1,720 feet to a point, North 1,230 feet to a point;
<br />East 1,250 feet to a point; North 450 feet to a point;
<br />East 1,680 feet to a point; North 3,000 feet to a
<br />point; East 2,220 feet to a point; North 800 feet to a
<br />point; East 750 feet to a point; North 1,100 feet to a
<br />point; East 1,720 feet to a point; North 520 feet to a
<br />point in the South Boundary Line of F.M. Highway 1499;
<br />THENCE Easterly with the South Boundary Line of
<br />F.M. Highway 1499, a distance of 2,000 feet to the most
<br />Northerly Northeast corner of said Lake Crook Property;
<br />THENCE South 1,320 feet to a point for corner;
<br />THENCE East 900 feet to a point for corner;
<br />THENCE South 2,100 feet more or less to the
<br />centerline of Pine Creek, said point being the
<br />Northwest corner of a 205.04 acre tract of land
<br />conveyed the City of Paris by Howard S. Smith and Wife,
<br />Charline Smith by deed recorded in Volume 704, Page
<br />319, of said Deed Records;
