� � ORDINANCE N0, gg-O50 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDII�'G THAT THE CODE GF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AI�NDED BY REVISING SECTIONS 7-16, 7-101, 1'L-86, 25-16 AND 25-36 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000,00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF DECEMBER 1, 1988, BE IT ORDAINED BY TH�: CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That Section 7-16 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 7-16. Adopted. For the purposes of establishing rules and regulations for the construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and struc- tures, including permits and p�nalties, there is hereby adopted as the building code of the City, that certain building code known as the Standard Building Code, 1988 Edition, save and except such portions as are deleted, modified or amended by this article, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. A copy of such code has been and is now on file in the office of the city clerk and the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the construction of all buildings and other structures therein contained within the corporate limits of the City." Section 2. That Section 7-101 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall rea.d as follows: "Sec. 7-101. Adopted. The Standard Mechanical Code, 1988 Edition, is hereby adopted and incorporated in its entirety as though fully set out at length herein, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended, and the provisions of such code shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the City." Section 3. That Section 12-86 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 12-86. Adopted. For the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for fire prevention relating to public safety, health and general welfare within the City and its extraterritorial jurisdiction where applicable, that certain fire prevention code known as Standard Fire Prevention Code, 1988 Edition, save and except such portions as are deleted, modified or amended by this article, is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. A copy of such code with such revisions has been and is now on file in the office of the city clerk and the provisions thereof shall be controlling as above stated."
