Board of Adjustment Meeting <br />October 7,. 2025 <br />Page I <br />MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />OCTOBER 7, 2025 <br />The Board of Adjustment of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 12 p.m. on <br />October 7, 2025, at the City of Paris- City Hall, Council Chambers located at 107 E <br />Kaufman St. <br />Present.- Board Members: David Hamilton, Harley Draven, Ben Vaughan, Bill <br />Sanders and Richard Thompson. Alternate Jerry Williams was present, but <br />he just observed the meeting, <br />City Representative: Stephanie Harris and Osei Amo-Mensah. <br />Absent: None. <br />1. The Board ofAdjustment meeting was called to order b David Tlamilton, at'12.-00P.M. <br />y <br />2. Approval of minutesftom previous meeting. (August 5, 2025) <br />Motion was made by Ben Vaughan, seconded by Richard Thompson to approve minutes <br />for the August 5, 2025 meeting. Motion carried 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />3. Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition ofInvest Fannin LLC, on behalf' <br />of Johnn Miles regarding a 15' variance to the Build Line that ftonts SE 6 1h Street, on <br />y <br />Lot 1, Block A, qf the J.0 Miles Subdivision being located at Parcel 129233. <br />David Hamilton opened the public hearing. <br />Director of Planning and Zoning, Osei Amo-Mensah presented the case to the board and <br />gave City recommendation. <br />Andrew Mack,, on behalf of Invest Fannin LLC, spoke in favor of the request stating that <br />they cannot make the required 25' setback on SE 61h street, but can make 10' or more. The <br />amily home. <br />variance is sought to give them a buffer for the proposed single f <br />Staff member, Paige Unger, made note that no inputs were received for this case. <br />No one else spoke in favor or opposition of the request. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Harley Draven, seconded by Richard Thompson to approve the 15' <br />variance to the 25' Build Line indicated on the plat, based on the following findings. <br />Motion carried 5 ayes - 0 nays. <br />
