<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 92-005 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES LOCATED <br /> IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, BELONGING TO VARIOUS OWNERS, <br /> AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FINDING THE MATERIALS <br /> RET7AINING ON THE PREMISES TU CONSTI'TUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE <br /> A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE <br /> AND WELFARE OF THE INHABI'TANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING <br /> SAID RUBBISH, LUMBER AND REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TO BE <br /> TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROr1 THE PREMISES IN ORDER TO ABATE <br /> SUCH NUISANCE. <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was called to order by the <br /> Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher, on the 9th day of <br /> January, 1992, at 6:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Room, <br /> City Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building <br /> Hazard Inspection Committee fixed a date tor hearing on the <br /> resolutions referred to the Committee by the City Council on <br /> the 9th da.y of September, 1991, and said Committee fixed said <br /> hearing at 10:00 o'clock A.M. on the 22nd day of November, <br /> 1991, and the hearing was had thereon. That proper notice <br /> was given to the owner or owners of the structures located at <br /> the following addresses: <br /> 1502 7th Street N.W., Lot 4, Block 1 <br /> 529 6th Street N.W., Lot 3, Block l, Hayes Addition <br /> 779 4th Street N.W., Lot 4, Block 89 <br /> 240-260 N. Main, Lot 2, Block 40 <br /> 605 lst Street N.E., Lat 24, Block 91 <br /> 1023 6th Street S.E., South 50' Lots 11 & 12, Block 6, <br /> Gibbons Park Addit.ion <br /> 1001 6th Street S.E., North 50' Lots 10, 11 & 12, <br /> Block 6, Gibbons Park Addition <br /> 715 Cedar, Lot 20, Block 3, Gibbons Park Addition <br /> 853 8th Street S.E., South 50' Lots 17 & 18, Block 1, <br /> Gibbons Park Addition <br /> 1144 16th Street S.E., Lot 2, Block 10, Gibbons-Braden <br /> Addition <br /> 1253 16th Street S.E., North 25' Lot 18, Block 14, <br /> Gibbons-Braden Addition <br /> 650 West Austin, Lot 13, Block 119A <br /> 2502-04 Graham, Lots 5& 8, Block 300 (3 Structures) <br /> 1705 Maple, North 75' Lot 15, Block 1, Warren Addition <br /> That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures <br /> involved and introduced pictures of the various portions of <br /> the structures and various portions of the premises involved <br /> and a list of discrepancies in the structures located <br /> thereon. That the Committee found that each of the above <br /> structures was in such state of deterioration and <br /> dilapidation as to create a serious fire hazard to life and <br /> property and that each of said buildings was dilapidated and <br /> was dangerous to life and property and dangerous structures <br /> to life and property. That said buildings are in such a <br /> state of dilapidation and decay that none of said structures <br /> are capable of repair. It is further found that the condi- <br /> tion of the premises and structures involved was such that <br /> the Committee recommended to the City Council that they be <br /> declared a nuisance and that the owners thereof be ordered <br /> by the City Council to tear down and remove the same from <br /> the lots involved. That saia Committee filed a complete <br /> report of its hearing and its findings with the City Clerk <br /> ot the City of Paris on the 17th day of December, 1991; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that proper <br /> notice was given to the owner or owners of the structures <br /> hereinafter listed.
