He told Mr. Malloy if <br />he signed the right of entry there was a possibility that either the Fire Department <br />or the Police Department could use the structure for training and he might get a <br />discount when the house was finally demolished. <br />Motion was made by Wendell Moore, seconded by Zac Saffle to accept <br />Robert Talley recommendation. The east side has started to show some <br />signs of roof damage as well. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Mr. Ladell would like to repair the house, he recently had a stroke so at this point <br />his sister Ruby Dillard spoke on his behalf. She stated that all of his sibling were <br />willing to help him get the roof fixed as well as get the back porch cleaned up. <br />There was no water damage in the house. She asked for 120 days to make these <br />repairs. Mr. Wilson informed her that legally the commission was only allowed <br />90 days but that if they came back in 90 days and could show improvement they <br />could ask for extension at that point. Mrs. Dillard stated that they recently had a <br />death in the family but as soon as the funeral arrangements had been taken care of <br />they would start on the house. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Zac Saffle to give Mr. <br />Ladell 90 days to show significant repairs.
