JL Moore came to Robert Talley and signed the right of entry. <br />Jeff Moore contacted Robert Talley and asked that this structure be brought back <br />to save it. Robert Talley showed pictures where the structure was unsecure, had <br />broken windows, deterioration on the front porch and on the west side of the <br />house as well as holes in the roof on the east side of the house. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Jeff Moore stated that one of the reasons he wanted to repair this house is because <br />it was one of the first homes he and his father purchased together and that he the <br />only reason it is in the shape it's in is due to finances. He stated that his wife has <br />a different job and so more money is coming in. <br />Mr. Wilson stated that the house needed a new roof and Mr. Moore agreed with <br />this stating that he would replace the soffet's and face board, re -do the decking <br />where needed, tear off the old roof and put on a new one. <br />Wendell Moore expressed concern in regards to the high amount of property tax <br />due and asked if paying the back taxes was part of the plan. Jeff Moore stated that <br />it was. <br />Stephanie Harris was asked if it was ok for this property to be brought back <br />before the commission, since the property owner sign the Right of Entry. She <br />stated that just because they sign it doesn't mean the city has to act on it. <br />Johnny Norris asked if 90 days would be enough time and Mr. Moore stated that <br />it would be. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Wendell Moore to allow <br />Mr. Moore 90 days for repair of the structure. There is deterioration along the roof line as well as <br />missing wood, the roof is leaking and scavengers have been in pulling wire and <br />any copper out of the house. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 90 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Zac Saffle to accept Robert <br />Talley's recommendation.
