Campbell, Maxey Addition, Block 5, Lot 3 <br />Owner: Gemes Mason, PO Box 1332, Paris, TX 75461 -1332 <br />$2161.24 back taxes owed. <br />Robert Talley stated that the home owner is deceased and he has had contact with <br />the son in the past. <br />Robert Talley explained that this structure came before BSC 2 years ago. The son <br />tried doing some work but nothing has been done in a while. Mr. Talley showed <br />pictures of high grass and weeds, the house is unsecure, the roof line is <br />deteriorating, there is missing wood around the foundation, holes in the roof, tiles <br />from the ceiling have been removed and there is water damage to the walls and <br />the foundation is sinking. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Vicky Ballard, seconded by Johnny Norris for the <br />property owner to demolish the property in 30 days, if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty to the property. <br />Motion carried unanimously. 4 -0 <br />C. 1436 & 1440 W. Mouse, 1438 Campbell St., Paris, TX 75460 <br />$2390.15 owed in back taxes <br />Robert Talley stated that the home owner called and requested 90 days to <br />demolish. Mr. Talley showed pictures of 1436 W. Campbell having deterioration <br />along the top boards over the windows, boards breaking, damage to the roof and <br />foundation.
