Robert Talley's recommendation: 90 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Zac Saffle to follow Robert <br />Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the property in <br />90 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day <br />civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 4 -0 <br />A. 327 E Washington, City of Paris Block 146, Lot 15 <br />Owner: Jan O'Brien Dyke, 731 SE 3rd Paris, TX 75460 <br />Mr. Dyke left a message on Mr. Talley phone that she would like another <br />extension. <br />$1654.66 back taxes owed. <br />Robert Talley tagged this house at the end of 2012. In February he brought it to <br />the commission and the commission gave the home owner 60 days to repair. <br />There have been no repairs done to the property. <br />Robert Talley showed pictures of the property where its roof is peeling and the <br />wood is deteriorating. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Vicky Ballard, seconded by Johnny Norris to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the <br />property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a <br />$1000 per day civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 4 -0 <br />B. 1035 W Houston, Conner Place, Block 2, Lot 3 -A & 4 <br />Owner: Jackie Jones, 1035 W Houston Paris, TX 75460 <br />$1054.90 back taxes owed. <br />Mr. Talley explained that this property came to the commission in the past and the <br />property owner said the property was being sold so the commission gave the <br />property owner 90 days to repair the property. The reason the property looks <br />better is because the City of Paris abatement crew cleaned up the property. The <br />structure is unsecure, has deterioration of wood, front porch is rotting, window <br />seals are rotting, cats are living inside the property and the roof is deteriorating. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Vicky Ballard, seconded by Johnny Norris to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the <br />property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a <br />$1000 per day civil penalty to the property.
