Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Zac Saffle to follow Robert <br />Talley's recommendation for the property to be demolished in 30 days, if not <br />the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty to <br />the property. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />Request was made by Robert Talley to move to item 3. N., 1137 NE 10th, <br />Fitzhugh Addition, Block 1, Lot 3 <br />F. 1137 NE 10th, Fitzhugh Addition, Block 1, Lot 3 <br />Owner: John Leonard Brown - deceased <br />Present: Debra Lewis. Back Taxes - $1064.71 <br />Robert Talley showed pictures of the porch falling in, a hole in the roof, <br />deterioration of wood and the roof buckling. <br />Mrs. Lewis stated that again when Mr. Brown passed away the house was <br />inherited by her mother. Her mother passed away in November of 2012 so she is <br />now responsible for the property. She agrees that the house needs to be <br />demolished but cannot afford to do it herself. <br />Mr. Talley stated that he and Mrs. Lewis have spoken and she has agreed to sign <br />the Right of Entry and Indemnification so that the City of Paris can demolish the <br />structure and she will set up a payment plan with the City because she wants to keep <br />the property. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Vicky Ballard to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property to be demolished in 30 <br />days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil <br />penalty to the property. Back Taxes $77.25 <br />Robert Talley stated that the owner signed for the certified mail and that he has <br />spoken with Michael Long on several occasions. Mr. Talley showed pictures <br />and stated that the Code Enforcement Abatement Crew recently cleaned the yard, <br />carrying away at least 14 mini -dump loads of junk and rubbish. He showed <br />pictures of boards and pieces of privacy fence on the porch, a large hole in the <br />side of the house, where the property owner cut with a chain saw, wanting to put a <br />window in, there is also a missing window in the back of the house. Pictures <br />were also show of the interior of the house and it is filled with junk and rubbish. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Vicky Ballard to follow <br />
