W. 24th, Wortham & Carlton Addition, Block 1, Lot 8 <br />Owner: Janice Buetikofer, 509 CR 34300, Brookston, TX 75421 <br />Robert Talley stated that he has had no contact with the owner and no back taxes <br />are due. <br />Robert Talley showed pictures of fire damage throughout the attic, hole in the <br />roof from the fire. The house is unsecure and there is furniture and other junk <br />and rubbish in the front yard. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Vicky Ballard, seconded by Wendell Moore to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the <br />property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a <br />$1000 per day civil penalty to the property. W. 6th, City Block 88, Lot 30 <br />Owner: Pearl Wooten % Robert Wooten — No Back Taxes <br />Robert Talley has spoken with Robert Wooten on the property. <br />Robert Talley stated that the Fire Department contacted him in regards to this <br />structure. There is fire damage throughout the attic, the roof has collapsed in the <br />middle and the foundation is sinking into the ground. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Zac Saffle, seconded by Chris Brown to follow Robert <br />Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the property in <br />30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day <br />civil penalty to the property. Back Taxes - $1285.84 <br />Robert Talley has had no contact with the owner who did sign for the certified <br />letter. <br />Robert Talley showed pictures of the property where someone has started to <br />demolish it but did not complete it. Windows are missing, wood is deteriorating, <br />there is a hole in the roof and the rafters are starting to poke through the shingles. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Wendell Moore to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the <br />
