Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 B. 152 N. W. 24th, Wortham & Carlton Addition, Block 1, Lot 8 Owner: Janice Buetikofer, 509 CR 34300, Brookston, TX 75421 Robert Talley stated that he has had no contact with the owner and no back taxes are due. Robert Talley showed pictures of fire damage throughout the attic, hole in the roof from the fire. The house is unsecure and there is furniture and other junk and rubbish in the front yard. Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. Robert Talley stated that the Fire Department contacted him in regards to this structure. There is fire damage throughout the attic, the roof has collapsed in the middle and the foundation is sinking into the ground. Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. Back Taxes - $1285.84 Robert Talley has had no contact with the owner who did sign for the certified letter. Robert Talley showed pictures of the property where someone has started to demolish it but did not complete it. Windows are missing, wood is deteriorating, there is a hole in the roof and the rafters are starting to poke through the shingles.
