O. 408 NE 10th, Lot 5, 6, 6 -A & 6 -B, Block 69 -B, City of Paris <br />Owner: Arnelle Camster, 715 E Cherry Paris, TX 75460 <br />Present: Arnelle Camster <br />Robert Talley showed pictures of the holes in the porch, lumber deteriorating, <br />front porch holes and is very dangerous, the eave is rotting, unsecure, missing <br />wood, shingles are slipping down, and the shed in the back yard has trees laying <br />on it. Arnelle Camster stated that the property is being repairs already. They have <br />to fix the porch floor first so the workers can get to the other problems. She <br />explained that she lives on retirement income and has to do a little at a time. <br />Robert Talley asked Mrs. Camster what kind of time frame she needed. Mrs. <br />Camster asked for an extension till February 2013. The Commission is concerned <br />with the holes in the roof and Mrs. Camster said they are going to start the roof as <br />soon as the porch is stable. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right <br />to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Ryan Lassiter, seconded by Vicky Ballard to allow Mrs. <br />Camster 90 days for repairs. <br />Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />C. 1035 W Houston, Lot 3 -A & 4, Block 2, Conner Place <br />Owner: Jackie Jones, 1035 W Houston Paris, TX 75460 <br />Present: Jackie Jones and her sister. <br />Robert Talley showed pictures of the deterioration of the eaves of the house, the <br />gutters are buckled, holes are in the windows, rotting and deterioration on window <br />seals, unsecure, exposed pipes, interior is in disarray, and there is no floor <br />covering. Jackie stated that she didn't realize the property was this bad. Her <br />daughter and three sons were living in the house. She stated that she had the floor <br />covering took out of the house and replaced some boards and sanded them. She <br />has three people interested in buying the property. Johnny Norris asked what kind <br />of shape the roof is in. Robert Talley stated the roof is in place but it is fastly <br />deteriorating. Don Wilson stated that the property needs to be cleaned up and <br />outside repairs need to be done to prevent further deterioration. The Commission <br />explained that if Mrs. Jones sales the property she needs to disclose the conditions <br />set by this commission to the buyer. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right <br />to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Wendell Moore to secure <br />the property in 30 days and make repairs in 90 days. <br />Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />A. 714 Graham St, Lot Pt of 12, Block 52, City of Paris <br />Owner: Kevin B.
