O. 408 NE 10th, Lot 5, 6, 6 -A & 6 -B, Block 69 -B, City of Paris Owner: Arnelle Camster, 715 E Cherry Paris, TX 75460 Present: Arnelle Camster Robert Talley showed pictures of the holes in the porch, lumber deteriorating, front porch holes and is very dangerous, the eave is rotting, unsecure, missing wood, shingles are slipping down, and the shed in the back yard has trees laying on it. Arnelle Camster stated that the property is being repairs already. They have to fix the porch floor first so the workers can get to the other problems. She explained that she lives on retirement income and has to do a little at a time. Robert Talley asked Mrs. Camster what kind of time frame she needed. Mrs. Camster asked for an extension till February 2013. The Commission is concerned with the holes in the roof and Mrs. Camster said they are going to start the roof as soon as the porch is stable. Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. Motion was made by Ryan Lassiter, seconded by Vicky Ballard to allow Mrs. Camster 90 days for repairs. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 C. 1035 W Houston, Lot 3 -A & 4, Block 2, Conner Place Owner: Jackie Jones, 1035 W Houston Paris, TX 75460 Present: Jackie Jones and her sister. Robert Talley showed pictures of the deterioration of the eaves of the house, the gutters are buckled, holes are in the windows, rotting and deterioration on window seals, unsecure, exposed pipes, interior is in disarray, and there is no floor covering. Jackie stated that she didn't realize the property was this bad. Her daughter and three sons were living in the house. She stated that she had the floor covering took out of the house and replaced some boards and sanded them. She has three people interested in buying the property. Johnny Norris asked what kind of shape the roof is in. Robert Talley stated the roof is in place but it is fastly deteriorating. Don Wilson stated that the property needs to be cleaned up and outside repairs need to be done to prevent further deterioration. The Commission explained that if Mrs. Jones sales the property she needs to disclose the conditions set by this commission to the buyer. Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Wendell Moore to secure the property in 30 days and make repairs in 90 days. Kear, 625 Johnson Wood Dr. Paris, TX 75460 Robert Talley stated that HPC pulled this property from the BSC list.
