The public hearing was declared open. <br />Don Wilson, 3110 Stacy Lane, spoke in favor of the petition stating that he has owned the <br />property more than 20 years. The City wants Pine Mill Road extended. In the past, the <br />owners did not agree to extend the road but now there is an agreement to extend. Mr. Wilson <br />has been waiting for a good prospect to develop the property. <br />Dr. Earl Bellamy supports the zoning change. <br />Mr. Gary Nash supports the zoning change, he feels it provides a good transition. <br />Mr. Gary Gage supports the zoning change. <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />6. Consideration of and action on the petition of Don G. Wilson for a change in zoning <br />from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Planned Development District <br />(PD -d) Medical Center and Hospital and (PD -1) Office Center, Part of Lot 14, City <br />Block 259, being the 2900 Block of East Cherry. <br />Motion was made to approve by Bill Coleman and seconded by Bobby Myers. Motion <br />carried by a vote of 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />7. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Rodney Anderson for a change in zoning <br />from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a General Retail District (GR), Lot <br />13, City Block 223, being number 100 SE 20" Street. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Rodney Anderson, 1945 N. Collegiate, spoke in favor of the petition. He has owned the <br />property since 1992 and it has been rental property. Mr. Anderson would like to use the <br />property for a small shop or office. <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />8. Consideration of and action on the petition of Rodney Anderson for a change in zoning <br />from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a General Retail District (GR), Lot <br />13, City Block 223, being number 100 SE 20" Street. <br />Motion was made to approve by Louis Yates and seconded by Bobby Myers. Motion carried <br />by a vote of 7 ayes and 2 nays. <br />9. Public Hearing to consider the site plan approval requested by Bobby Smallwood and <br />Walley Boyer, Part of Lot 14, City Block 259, being the 2900 Block of East Cherry. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Mr. Boyer presented and discussed the site plan. At present, there were no specific landscape <br />plans. He wants to keep a natural setting as much as possible. <br />
