Lamar County Multi- Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan
Chapter Two
Support and information was obtained from other government programs and agencies such as the
National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCZ), US
Geological Survey (USGS), etc.
Regular meetings were held to keep both the general public and committee members informed of
the progress, answer any questions, and notify members of any changes to FEMA's guidelines for
the creation of the plan. At these meetings, rough drafts constructed from previous meetings were
distributed for review and corrections.
Between Meetings Conference calls and email were continuously in progress between members
and jurisdiction representatives. Due to constantly seeking out improvement an ICS chain of
command was utilized to distribute information from these conference calls and online sessions to
other members and participants (Public, Private, and Governmental)
The communities and entities that participated in this plan development include:
• Lamar County
• City of Blossom
• City of Deport
• City of Reno
• City of Roxton
EME11
33
