b. Saber Aviation requests a permit for pilot training. <br />The necessary paperwork and insurance being in order, <br />the board recommends approval. This permit for single - <br />engine aircraft only. <br />5. Air Service: Burress reported on the actions of the Air Service <br />Committee of the Chamber of Commerce in meeting with <br />Altus Air and Executive Express. The chairman of the <br />air service committee recommended to the Transportation <br />Board that Altus Air be approved as the carrier for <br />Paris. <br />6. Proposed Radio Towers: The Advisory Board reviewed the location pro- <br />posed of radio towers in the county. These towers may <br />have been approved by the FAA. However, the board feels <br />that the tower near the Powderly Airport is a definite <br />hazard to flight. The Advisory Board and the City of <br />Paris are not otherwise directly involved in approval <br />or disapproval of these towers. Individual pilots are <br />encouraged to comment on the approval of such towers <br />at the appropriate time. <br />New Business: <br />1. The Airport Advisory Board discussed the advisability of the <br />extablishment of an airport authority for the City of Paris. <br />The Advisory Board requests permission for Bill Boothe, Chairman, <br />Joe Burress and Eric Clifford to appear before the City Council on <br />Monday, August 11, to present this proposal. Joe Burress will con- <br />tact the City to get this matter placed on the Agenda. <br />2. The Advisory Board requests Jim Collier write a letter for the <br />status of our ADF /DME Antennae and advise the board at the next <br />meeting.. <br />3.
