Mr. Boothe moved that any left over funds from City of Paris money budgeted
for the installation of fuel tanks and pumps be reallocated to purchase,
rent or construct a small building to be used for fueling personnel, Unicom
operations and telephone until the fire house and pilots lounge is built.
Mr. Boothe pointed out this would accomplish the following:
1. The City would be able to vacate the large blue hangar and therefore
would not pay utilities on this structure.
2. Rent can be increased on the large blue hangar.
3. Allow for greater safety and visability of air traffic by UNICOM
personnel.
4. It would allow for greater efficiency of fuel personnel.
Dr. Keller seconded the motion. Motion passed 4 -0.
3. UPDATE BUDGET STATUS
Mr. Collier reported that the end of the fiscal year has been moved from July
to October. The Board therefore will be able to have another budget workshop
to prepare for the 1983 -84 budget.
4. BOARD WORKSHOP PLANS
Mr. Rex will be out of town on May 3 and a tenitive date has been set for a
Board workshop. The board will meet May 18, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the
City Manager's Conference Room, an alternate date will be May 25 at Wednesday.
The Workshop will be to discuss the work of the Airport Advisory Board. Mr.
Rex asked the members to re -read the A.O.P.A. material pertaining to the
subject.
5. HANGAR LEASE AGREEMENT
Mr. Collier discussed a hangar lease agreement written jointly by the City
Manager, City Attorney and Airport Manager which had been mailed to Board
Members.
Mr. Rex noted the differences between Lease Agreement #1 and this new Lease
Agreement. Mr. Rex asked Mr. Collier to post the Lease Agreement on the
bulletin board in the pilots lounge area.
Further discussion on the lease was put off until the May meeting inorder
that Mr, Sudduth could have an opportunity to express his ideas on the matter.
Mr. Boothe, Manager of Paris Flight Center, asked the board to consider
offering the larger FBO's at Cox Field special considerations. She stated
that Paris Flight Center was the largest revenue producer at Cox Field for the
City.
Mr. Rex asked Mrs—Boothe to speak at the next board meeting and be prepared
to explain what shw means by special considerations.
6.
