Additionally, painting new <br />signs on buildings is acceptable <br />providing the sign meets other <br />signage criteria and is in scale with <br />the building. <br />• Neon signage may be historically <br />appropriate on certain styles or <br />periods of historic buildings such as <br />buildings constructed in the early <br />twentieth century and later. However, <br />neon lights are not appropriate for all <br />buildings. <br />• Avoid too much signage on one <br />building. If there are multiple tenants, <br />create a directory type sign to identify <br />the address and location of each:. <br />• All' signage must be kept in good: <br />maintenance and shall be kept free of <br />all debris and other refuse. <br />• Refer to the City Sign Ordinance for <br />additional signage requirements and <br />restrictions. All signage must conform <br />to city codes and must have prior <br />approval of the Historic Preservation <br />,Commission. <br />Number, Size and Illumination <br />For buildings housing one business <br />or service, one (1) major sign and <br />one (1) minor Signs will be permitted <br />for each facade with a public <br />entrance to that business.
