Characteristics <br />include: <br />• facade dominated by a full height porch <br />supported with classical columns <br />• symmetrical facade is balanced, <br />established by the entry door and' windows <br />• pediment capping the windows <br />• roof -line balustrade <br />Tudor is the dominant style of domestic <br />architecture for a large portion of the early 20th <br />century suburban houses throughout the country. <br />Characteristics include: <br />• steeply pitched roof with a side gable <br />• steeply pitched cross gables with <br />decorative, non-structural half timbering <br />• tall and narrow windows with mu!llti-pane, <br />glazing often found in multiple groups <br />pitched roof dormers <br />cast stone trim <br />* massive chimneys with decorative pots <br />Design Standards for the City of Paris, Texas 87 <br />
