Mr. Hamill seconded the motion. Vote was 4 -ayes to 0 -nays. Discuss and ossibl select Meetin Da s and Times for the New Board. Mr. Paris said that each new Board establishes a day and time that works best for the majority. Dr. Hashmi stated that most boards meet when the public can attend the meetings. This is usually in the early evening. The PEDC is the only Board that meets during the day. Mr. Manning asked that it be a time when we could use the Council Chambers. Mr. Paris asked the Board if we could find times and days that the Council Chambers are available. Mr. Hamill commented that if we are accommodating the public the time would need to be later than 4:00 p.m. since the public would still be at work. Mr. Paris will email the Board what we found for days and times. Executive Director's Monthl Re ort. • We received a check from selling the metal frame of a small building and a generator at the Oliver Rubber site in the amount of $2,650.00. • We are preparing to bid out the metal in Superior Switch building. The structure is intact so the buyer will only need to take the bolts out to disassemble the beams. This will help offset some of the clean-up costs we are incurring. • The trip to Select USA and the trip to the Food Show were cancelled due to the activity with our prospect. • The Texas Road Show takes place in August. I am looking into how this would work with our schedule. • The sign in front of our building was bent up by vandals. We replaced to sign and the sign company added extra screws to secure it. • We did due diligence on the site in the northwest corner of the Industrial Park close to the Atmos Building. The site will be advertised as shovel -ready. • We have the budget almost ready to take to the City Council on August 13a'. Convene into Executive Session: a) Section 551.087; Deliberation of Economic Development Negotiations to deliberate Commercial and Financial Information and Economic Incentives relating to the following: Commercial real- estate development. 1) American SpiralWeld Pipe 2) Campbell's Soup Chairman Manning convened the Board into Executive Session at 10:28 a.m. Reconvene into O . en Session and possibly take action on item `s discussed in Executive Session. Chairman Manning reconvened the Board into open session at 10:57 a.m. No action was taken on Executive Session items.
