Viola Bradford, 2475 Highland Rd. states she has lived in this neighborhood for eighteen years
and it is peaceful now. Bradford requests this commission deny this petition.
Tony Gunn, states his family has been in this neighborhood for 17 years on the corner of 251i
NE and Ridgeview Rd and they have a nice neighborhood. He owns other properties
throughout the city and does not want apartments in this area. Gunn states he is against this
petition and asks the Commission to deny it.
Donna James, 2620 Ridgeview Rd. states she has a garden on that land and if apartments are
constructed she will not have the privacy she currently has. James states 56 apartments is
drastic and would definitely increase the noise. She is not opposed to a retirement type
community going there but cannot support anything multi -story.
L. Martin, 2640 Ridgeview Rd. asked will a contract be signed to state that the developer will
not change their mind after the zoning is changed to multi -family. Martin states he is opposed
to apartments or multi -story with lighting on all night long for a parking lot. He states he is not
opposed to single family dwellings going there but multi -family could include apartments so
he asks the commission to deny this petition.
Don Martin, 2545 Ridgeview Rd. states he is opposed to this petition and agrees with his
neighbors.
Cathy Jackson 2540 Ridgeview Rd. states she lived there 26 years. Jackson states she knew as
long as Deward Garrett had the property he would keep it and not develop it. She states once
she saw the sign go up that it was going to be for sale that something was going to change. She
hoped it would be single-family dwellings. Jackson states she is concerned about that many
units coming in. She is concerned about a lot of noise, traffic and lighting issues. She asked the
commission to not approve this request because it does not fit their neighborhood.
Norma Jackson, 2530 Ridgeview Rd. states she has lived here since 2006 and asked if the
petition was approved would the developer provide privacy fences to the property owners that
this project backs up to. She asked that it be considered. The neighborhood wants privacy.
Gerald Peralis, 2610 Ridgeview Rd. states he is against this. He has two daughters and this is a
nice peaceful area. He is not open to duplexes or apartments going up in this area.
