Godwin states Agricultural has historically been used as a holding district in Paris, in many <br />cases awaiting an actual use before final zoning is approved. This is already part of an <br />existing business area, and this specific parcel is adjacent to a Commercial zoned lot. We <br />concur with this request and recognize this property should be rezoned from Agriculture to <br />Commercial to bring this new business into compliance and recommends approval of the <br />zoning change. <br />Public hearing declared open. <br />Linda McCarrell, owner of subject property, states she purchased this property prior to it being <br />annexed into the City of Paris limits. McCarrell asked the board to approve this petition for her <br />business. <br />Public hearing declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Sims Norment, seconded by Rick Hundley to approve the zoning change <br />from Agricultural to Commercial. Motion carried 6-0. <br />5. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of ' Lot 1, Block A of the House-Aikin <br />Addition CB 294, being located at 3145 E Houston St. <br />Carla Easton states the owner proposes to subdivide the lot into two residential lots and has <br />submitted a preliminary and final plat of the property. Easton states water and sewer services <br />are available along E Houston Street. It appears the preliminary and. final plats comply with the <br />City of Paris subdivision regulations and zoning ordinance. Easton recommends approval. <br />Motion was made by Keith Flowers. Seconded by John Lee to approve the Preliminary Plat. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br />6. Consideration of and action on the Final Plat of Lot 1, BlockA of the House-Aikin Addition <br />CB 294, being located at 3145 E Houston St. <br />Easton states same comments as previous item and recommends approval. <br />
