MEETING MINUTES <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY June 10 2020 <br />Present, <br />Chris Dux, Chairman <br />Matt Coyle, Vice -Chair <br />Randy Hider, Secretary <br />Glee Emmite, Liaison for Main Street <br />Linda Knox, LCHS member <br />Laura Caffey, Architect <br />Linda Knox, Council Liaison <br />Cheri Bedford HPO <br />Absent <br />Mike Lazar property owner <br />Guests <br />Barbara Wilson, via Zoom. us <br />Chairman Dux Call meeting to order at 4:05 p.m. <br />The minutes from March 11, 2020 and May 13, 2020 were approved by acclamation <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Emmite to recused Commissioner Caffey to present the <br />fagade grant request. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hider. <br />Laura Caffey, representing Walt Reep, reviewed the approved Certificate of Appropriateness <br />application for 37 Clarksville that was presented in the May 2020 meeting and answered any <br />questions. Commissioner Vandiver made the motion to approve a $2500 matching grant for the <br />purpose of fagade improvements, seconded by Commissioner Emmite. Motion carried. <br />Laura Caffey was returned to commission. <br />Ms. Bedford gave the following report; <br />a. Review of approved minor Certificates of Appropriateness <br />b. The window workshop can be rescheduled for September or August. Cheri has <br />contacted Brent Hull Millworks and discussed rescheduling. No date set. <br />c. Imagine the possibilities tour could be virtual. The commission appointed back in <br />the February 2020 to review IPT tours. The subcommittee meeting will be meeting <br />via zoom to discuss details and present to the commission at the next meeting. <br />Members of the sub -committee are Commissioners Linda Vandiver, Matt Coyle, <br />and Glee Emmite. <br />d. Resource survey: In order to comply with requirements for Certified Local <br />Government designation, Paris must update their Historic Resource Survey from <br />1985. These updates are usually expected every 10 years and Paris is over 35 years <br />old. Cheri gave the following report after corresponding with McDoux Preservation <br />from Houston about the survey. McDoux Preservation, LLC representative <br />Madeline Clites has proposed a phased survey project. Phase 1 will cost $10.000 <br />
