A Motion to approve the minutes for the June 1, 2020 meeting with correction reflecting <br />Keith Flowers called the meeting to order was made by Clifton Fendley, seconded by Cody <br />Adams. Motion carried 6-0. <br />5. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of David L & Sherry E <br />Whitaker for a change in zoning from a One -Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a <br />One -Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3), in the New Beginnings Addition CB 242, <br />Block A, Lots 3 and 4, LCAD 126819 and 126820, located in the 400 Block of 19th NW. <br />Easton states that David Whitaker is requesting a change in zoning in order to build a <br />1200 square foot home on lots 3 and 4 of the New Beginnings Addition. Mr. Whitaker <br />has built two homes of this proposed size on lots 1 and 2 of the same addition, but due to <br />the change in the zoning ordinance, he now must have SF -3 zoning for this housing <br />product. Properties in the area are zoned SF -2, with exception of the school which is <br />zoned Public Lands and Institutions. The minimum square footage for all new structures <br />in the SF -2 zoning district is 1500, where the minimum requirement in SF -3 is 1000; <br />therefore, a zoning change is needed for the proposed homes to be constructed at 1200 <br />square feet. <br />Public hearing declared open. <br />With no one speaking the public hearing was declared closed. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Clifton Fendley, seconded by Francine <br />Neeley. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Crist & Elizabeth <br />Pshigoda Foundation on behalf of Harper Six Family Limited Partnership for a change <br />in zoning from a One -Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Multiple -Family <br />Dwelling District No. 1 (MF -1), in the City of Paris, Block 259, Lot PT of 14, LCAD <br />18277, located at N Collegiate & Pine Mill. <br />Easton states that Mr. Brown representing the Pshigoda Foundation is requesting a <br />change in zoning on behalf of the Harper Six Family Limited Partnership in order for <br />multiple quadplexes to be constructed as a managed residential development. The current <br />zoning of the subject property is primarily Single Family Dwelling (SF -2) with a small <br />portion to the south as Planned Development District (PD-ef) for medical center or office <br />center.
