2. Submit items specified in different Sections of the Specifications separately <br />unless they are part of an integrated system. <br />D. Assign a CONTRACTOR's submittal number to the documents originated to allow <br />tracking of the submittal during the review process. <br />1. Assign the number consisting of a prefix, a sequence number, and a letter <br />suffix. Issue sequence numbers in chronological order for each type of <br />submittal. <br />2. Issue numbers for resubmittals that have the same number as the original <br />submittal followed by an alphabetical suffix indicating the number of times the <br />same submittal has been sent to the ENGINEER for processing. For exampie: <br />SD -025-A represents a shop drawing that is the twenty-fifth submittal of this <br />type and is the second time this submittal has been sent for review. <br />3. Clearly note the submittal number on each page or sheet of the submittal. <br />4. Correct assignment of numbers is essential since different submittal types are <br />processed in different ways. <br />E. Submit documents with uniform markings and page sizes. <br />1. Paper size shall allow for ease of reproduction. <br />a. Submit documents on 8-1/2" X 11" paper where practical. <br />b. Use 11 " X 17" paper for larger drawings and schematics. <br />C. Use full size sheets for fabrications and layout drawings. <br />Reproducible drawings may be submitted in lieu of prints. <br />2. Mark submittals to: <br />a. Indicate CONTRACTOR's corrections in green. <br />b. Highlight items pertinent to the products being furnished in yellow and <br />delete items that are not pertinent when the Supplier's standard <br />drawings or information sheets are provided. <br />C. Cloud items and highlight in yellow where selections by the <br />ENGINEER or OWNER are required. <br />d. Mark dimensions with the prefix FD to indicate field verified <br />dimensions on the drawings. <br />e. Provide a blank space 8" x 3" for CONTRACTOR's and ENGINEER's <br />stamp. <br />3. Define abbreviations and symbols used in Shop Drawings. <br />a. Use terms and symbols in Shop Drawings consistent with the Contract <br />Drawings. <br />b. Provide a list of abbreviations and their meaning as used in the Shop <br />Drawings. <br />C. Provide a legend for symbols used on Shop Drawings. <br />F. Mark submittals to reference the Drawing number and/or Section of the Specifications, <br />detail designation, schedule or location that corresponds with the data submitted. <br />Other identification may also be required, such as layout drawings or schedules to <br />allow the reviewer to determine where a particular product is to be used. <br />G.
