<br />Task 3.4 F.A.A. Review <br /> <br />Following completion of F.A.A. review, the preliminary report will <br />be discussed with the F.A.A. in Fort Worth. <br /> <br />Element 4 - ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT <br /> <br />An environmental assessment will be prepared in accordance with <br />F.A.A. Order 5050.4A entitled "Airport Environmental Handbook". <br />Impacts to both the human and natural environments will be assessed. <br />Economic and social factors, aircraft noise and land use patterns <br />will be considered in the human environmental analysis. Air <br />quality, water, vegetation, wildlife, waterfowl, and natural <br />resources will be considered in the natural environmental analysis. <br /> <br />A project Public Hearing will be offered following completion of the <br />preliminary environmental assessment report. If a public hearing is <br />requested in writing, the City will advertise and give notification <br />(local newspaper) of the public hearing at least thirty (30) days <br />prior to the hearing. The' City will then hold the hearing with the <br />assistance of the Consultant. All comments received up to and <br />during the hearing will be included in the public hearing transcript <br />to be prepared by the City. The Consultant will respond to all <br />comments and questions submitted prior to and during the hearing. <br />These responses will be included, in the final Environmental <br />Assessment which will be prepared in accordance with F.A.A. Order <br />5050.4A. The preliminary assessment with input from the City, <br />F.A.A. personnel, Executive Order 12372 Agencies, the public <br />hearing, and Consultant response will constitute the final <br />Environmental Assessment Report. This final report will be submit- <br />ted to F.A.A. to initiate review. <br /> <br />Two (2) copies of the "draft" environmental assessment will be <br />provided to F.A.A. for review. Ten (10) copies of the "final" envi- <br />ronmental assessment will be provided to F.A.A. for distribution and <br />coordination. The final environmental assessment will be published <br />separately as an independent document and capable of standing alone. <br /> <br />Element 5 - AIRPORT PLANS <br /> <br />Task 5.1 Airoort Lavout Plan <br /> <br />A photo base will be prepared. Existing and ultimate proposed <br />facilities will be indicated in accordance with Southwest Region FAA <br />guidelines. The rationale utilized to develop the Airport Layout <br />Plan will be fully documented in the report text. <br />
