Annie Jordan of 1064 NE 141" St, in favor to improve the block. <br />No one else spoke in favor or opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Jerry Harting, seconded by William Sanders to approve the variance to <br />Section 9-201 of the Zoning Area Regulations required lot width of 60' to 50'. Motion carried 4:0. <br />5. Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Sims Norment, on Lot 1, City <br />Block 147, being located at 606 S Church Street. <br />The applicant requests a variance of Section 9-201 Area Regulations of the Zoning <br />Ordinance 1710, which provides as follows: <br />(1) 9-301 (1) Schedule minimum lot depth -Residential districts <br />2F Zoning requires a minimum of 100' lot depth <br />The applicant is requesting a 18.53' variance to reduce the required lot depth from 100' to 81.47' <br />at 606 S Church Street. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />Roger Colson, Building Official, presented the variance to the board. Roger explained that the <br />variance would be required in order to make this a buildable lot. <br />Roger Colson, Building Official, presents citizen input forms submitted by mail as follows: <br />Linda Knox of 655 S Church St, in favor. Stated that allowing the variance would allow applicant <br />to enhance their property without infringing on any neighboring property and will keep the <br />historical integrity of the neighborhood. <br />Don Biard of 574 S Church St, in favor. Stated the variance will benefit the area and will not <br />detract from the character of the neighborhood. <br />Curtis Fendley of 554 S Church St, in favor. Stated that he does not object to a pool house with <br />living quarters. <br />Jim Bell of 575 S Church St, in favor. Stated that he does not object to a pool house. <br />Arvin Starrett of 629 S Church St, in favor. Stated that he approves of the requested setback <br />variance. <br />
