City Engineer statement was read: When plats are submitted the developer <br />or the developer surveyor are saying that we are submitting a plat for the City <br />subdivision ordinance requirement for preliminary or final plats. The City has the <br />right to deny a plat that fails to meet a single plat requirement, however, we do look <br />to approve plats with conditions for those that have minor omissions. While we first <br />look to approve plats with conditions sometimes the number of items omitted from <br />the submission are too great or specific omitted items could alter the plat submitted <br />to the commission. For these cases, it is best to deny the plat as resubmission will <br />be required and the City must review this submission again. Resubmission also <br />requires a fee which helps cover the cost of reviewing this submission a second <br />time. <br />Motion made by Sims Norment, seconded by Chad Lindsey, to follow staff <br />recommendation with stated reasons. Motion carried unanimously. 6-0 <br />11. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of the Hughes 60 Addition, Lot <br />1, Block A, LCAD Property ID 14389, located in the 600 Block of NE 5th Street. <br />Derrick Dacus (City of Paris Engineering Technician) <br />City Staff recommendation: Due to the number of issues and the nature of some <br />of these issues Staff recommends denial of this preliminary plat. <br />Motion made by Chad Lindsey, seconded by Austin Anthony, to follow staff <br />recommendation with stated reasons.
