Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition for a Minor Master
Thoroughfare Plan Amendment temporarily removing the entire segment of the proposed
major arterial roadway between FM 145 and Lamar Avenue (TH 82, the `Delete All' option).
Mack presented this item to commissioners with staff recommendation to approve the `delete
all" option as the current plan is unrealistic as drawn. This would afford additional time for the
City to study this portion of the future extension of the arterial roadway to accommodate new
development over time.
The public hearing was declared open. Steve Walker, Attorney representing the Fitzgerald
property spoke in favor of the `delete all' option as the current MTP dissects his clients
property. With no one else speaking the public hearing was declared closed.
A motion to approve the minor amendment was made by Michael Mosher, seconded by
Sims Norment. Motion carried 5-0.
