Regional Mobility <br />Authority, discuss and provide' direction to staff. <br />Mr. Path said SuRRMA Presiding Officer Jay Hodge,.Would be giving Council <br />presentation about SuRRMA. Mr" Hodge explained that in 2012,, the Sulphur River Region <br />Mobility Authority was fooned and included the counties of Delta,, Hunt and Lamar. He al <br />said since that time, Fannin County had been included in SuRRMA. Mr. Hodge said the goal <br />SuRRMA was to finance, acquire, design, construct, operate� maintain, expand or exte <br />r <br />r <br />C <br />th0 <br />R <br />e <br />or <br />u <br />e <br />ge <br />0 <br />exc <br />a0 <br />il <br />a' <br />I <br />s <br />te] <br />transportation projects and that SuRRMA was a partnership between the State and its loc, <br />partners to meet the transportation needs. He said they were responsible for the completion <br />j <br />the 19/24 Project, as well as initiating the loop project. Mr. Hodge also said there were ni <br />members on the board co�inprised of: counties and cities. Mr. Hodge reported that Curtis Fendl <br />was a lon -time member -whose terrnhad exj*,ired and he n I not-,rwantmi ,ir <br />Mr. Path said the goal was to discuss the manner in which to fill Mr. Fendley's vacant positi <br />on the board. He said they could advertise or accept recommendations. Mr. Hod <br />recommended Council Member Pilgrim serve on the board. Several Council Members favor <br />that recommendation. Council Member Moore suggested they wait to have the full Council <br />the meeting. Mr. Path said the city attorney was out sick and prior to appointing Counc, <br />Member Pilgrim, he would like for her to do some research to detennine if that would be <br />conflict. Mr. Hodge said their first meeting was in February and they really needed to get t. <br />vacancy filled in January. Mr. Path said he would get with the city attorney and they won <br />bring an item back to the City Council on January 9th. 11 <br />The City's tax attorney Tracy Pounders explained that in March 22, 2021, private offers <br />to purchase several trustee properties were received and approved. He further said more than one <br />year had passed and not all of the taxing units had approved the sales as required by the Texas <br />
