Discuss, conduct a public hearing and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2023-026: AN <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, SO AS TO REZONE CITY OF PARIS BLOCK 311, <br />PART OF LOT 11 (6.9 ACRES), LOCATED AT 3500 CLARKSVILLE STREET <br />(LCAD 102295), FROM A ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2) TO A <br />MULTIPLE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (MF -2); DIRECTING A <br />CHANGE ACCORDINGLY IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY; <br />PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A SAVINGS <br />CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />City Planner Andrew Mack explained that the applicant requested a zoning change to a <br />multi- family dwelling district two. He said if the property was sold and development came <br />forward, the property would be subdivided. He also said that the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission recommended approval, as did staff. <br />Mayor Hughes opened the public hearing and asked for anyone wishing to speak in <br />support or opposition of this item, to please come forward. Discuss, continue the public hearing and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2023-027: AN <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />APPROVING AND ADOPTING REVISIONS TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />AND FUTURE LAND USE MAP FOR THE CITY OF PARIS AS IT PERTAINS TO <br />SPRINGLAKE ADDITION BLOCK 6, LOT 12, LOCATED AT 2801 E. PRICE <br />STREET (LCAD 19795), FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (LDR) TO <br />MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (MDR); MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, <br />A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />City Planner Andrew Mack said the applicant sought a minor amendment to the Future <br />Land Use Map to provide for a medium-high density residential use to allow for a duplex or <br />quad-plex.
