Ms. Harris explained that since the <br />acceptance of donation and execution of the MOU, the City had not had an occasion to tap into <br />the donated funds. She said RAM had requested a return of a portion of the donation to fund its <br />own affordable housing project, and the portion of donated funds remaining was $191,227.84. <br />A Motion to approve this it was made by Council Member Pilgrim and seconded by <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Pankaj. Discuss and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2024-005: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING ARTICLE 5.11, <br />"VEHICLES FOR HIRE," OF CHAPTER 5, "BUSINESS REGULATIONS;" <br />PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; <br />PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Deputy City Manager Rob Vine said City Council had been granting licenses to taxicab <br />and shuttle services for years by individual ordinances, in compliance with the City Charter. He <br />explained that the Ordinance was predated and needed a number of revisions, which included the <br />addition of definitions, removal of permanent signs with the exception of taxi cabs, increasing <br />the annual fee per licensed vehicle from $50.00 to $ 100.00, as well as several other amendments. <br />Ms. Harris stated that one other amendment was the process of permitting would be done <br />administratively as opposed to each company having an individual ordinance. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Mayor Pro -Tem Pankaj and seconded by <br />Council Member Pilgrim. Motion carried, 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />28. Discuss and award a bid in the amount of $73,276.00 for Microsoft 365 integration <br />service to Clard Enterprises Solutions, LLC; and authorize the City Manager to negotiate <br />a contract in accordance with the bid and to execute same. <br />IT Manager Celso Arrieta said the City published a request for proposals for <br />implementation of Microsoft 365, and the City received one proposal from Claro. <br />A Motion to approve this it was made by Council Member Pilgrim and seconded by <br />Council Member Kessel, Motion carried, 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />
