Mr. Amo-Mensah said this rezoning proposal was a part of the previous rezoning item. He also said this request was for an intermittent location within the Historic District No. 2 (HD - 2), a zoning change from a One -Family Dwelling District No. 1 (SF -1) to a Multiple -Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF1) in the Historic District No. 2 (HD -2). Mayor Pankaj opened the public hearing and asked for anyone wishing to speak in support or opposition, to please come forward. Michael King asked questions about this zoning with regard to a washeteria being a commercial building. Ms. Harris said nothing would change because he had a non -conforming use. With no one else speaking, Mayor Pankaj closed the public hearing. A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Norment and seconded by Council Member Kessel. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. Mayor Pro -Tem Savage left the meeting at 5:44 p.m. 16. Discus, conduct a public hearing and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2024-047: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED TO CHANGE THE ZONING OF MULTIPLE PROPERTIES WITHIN HISTORIC DISTRICT NO. 1 (HD -S) SOUTH OF SHERMAN STREET TO HEARNE STREET AND BETWEEN SW 1sT STREET AND SE 3'm STREET, SAVE AND EXCEPT LCAD PARCEL NOS. 16255, 16421, AND 16571, AS WELL AS LCAD PARCEL NOS. 16272, 16276, 16279, 16585, 16583, 16586, 16591, 16592, 16595, 16597, 16599, 16601, 16603, AND 16604, FROM A ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (SFI) TO A ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF2) PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
