Building and Standards Meeting July 15, 2024 Page 4 E. 137 NW 24"'; Wortham and Carlton Addition, Block 3, Lot 11 Owner: Alexandra Jones; 137 24 Ih NW, Paris, TX 75460 Robert Talley stated the structure has fire damage and holes in the wall. The roof is swaying and the vinyl siding is peeling off. There is junk and rubbish throughout the property. There has been no contact witli the property owner. Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demolition and removal of junk and rubbish within 30 days, vacate property within 30 days, or city has the right to do so. Motion made by Chris Dux, seconded by A.W. "Plug" Clem, to follow staff recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 F. 1911 W Walker; Westside Addition, Block 1, Lot PT of I Owner: Barbara Gilbert; 755 19"' NW, Paris, TX 75460 Robert Talley stated the owner in agreement of demolition. The structure is sinking and the roof is separating. The structure is leaning back. There is a shed on the property with fire damage. All sheds are unsecure. Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demolition and removal of junk and rubbish within 30 days, vacate property within 30 days or the city has the right to do so. Motion made by Chris Dux, seconded by Kim Walker, to follow staff recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 H. 944 W Houston; City of Paris, Block 48, Lot 13 Owner: Dennis R Hobgood; 1.747 Lamar Ave A, Paris, TX 75460 Robert Talley stated there is junk and rubbish throughout the entire property. There's firewood, tarps, buckets, buggies, pallets, trashcans, broken furniture, mattresses, tools, ladders, totes, lumber and other scattered items. Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, removal of junk and rubbish within 30 days or city has the right to do so. Motion made by A.W. "Plug" Clem, seconded by Chris Dux, to follow staff recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0
