Item No. 16 <br />TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro -Tem, & City Council <br />Rose Beverly, City Manager <br />FROM: Michael Smith, Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Provide Information on Status of City Owned Trash Trucks and Plan for Same <br />DATE: April 14, 2025 <br />BACKGROUND: On March 24, 2025, Mayor Pro -Tem requested staff to present information on <br />the current status of the City -owned trash trucks, specifically, their value and the City's plan for <br />them moving forward. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The City currently has 8 sanitation trucks, <br />2023 Peterbuilt 14,624 miles excellent condition, <br />2020 Hino 80,547 good condition, <br />2018 Hino 120,602 good condition, <br />2015 Hino 157,444 fair condition, <br />2013 Hino 159,549 fair condition, <br />2010 Hino 203,354 low fair condition, <br />2006 GMC 141,419 poor condition, <br />2007 GMC unknown miles parts truck. <br />BUDGET: N/A <br />OPTIONS: N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: Keep the 2023, 2020, and 2018 and auction the rest, we believe they <br />will bring a average of 10,000-15,000 a piece. <br />
