Discuss, conduct a public hearing and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2026-030: an Ordinance <br />considering the petition of the City of Paris for amendments to Exhibit 913, Zoning <br />Ordinance, including § 8-500, Home Occupations, and related definitions and use <br />regulations, to modernize standards for home-based businesses, remote work, <br />registration, residential compatibility, prohibited activities, and enforcement. <br />Building Official Duke McGee explained that the purpose of these amendments was to <br />regulate home occupations, update definitions, modernize development standards, establish <br />administrative registration procedures, and revise enforcement provisions to reflect current <br />business practices and applicable state law. <br />Mayor Pankaj opened the public hearing and asked for anyone wishing to speak about <br />this item, to please come forward. With no one speaking, Mayor Pankaj closed the public <br />hearing. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Attebury and seconded by <br />Council Member DeWitt. Motion carried, 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />21. Discuss, conduct a public hearing and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2026-030: an <br />Ordinance considering the petition of the City of Paris for amendments to Exhibit 913, <br />Zoning Ordinance, including § 15, Nonconforming Uses and Structures, and related <br />provisions, to allow limited reinvestment, modernization, reconstruction, or <br />improvement of certain legal nonconforming single-family residential uses under defined <br />conditions. <br />Mr. McGee said the purpose of these amendments pertained to nonconforming uses and <br />structures, to establish standards allowing limited reinvestment, modernization, reconstruction, <br />and improvement of certain existing owner -occupied legal nonconforming single-family <br />residential uses while maintaining the City's long term zoning objective and preventing any <br />increase in nonconformity. <br />Mayor Pankaj opened the public hearing and asked for anyone wishing to speak about <br />this item, to please come forward. With no one speaking, Mayor Pankaj closed the public <br />hearing. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Attebury and seconded by <br />Council Member Ladell. Motion carried, 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />22. Discuss and act on an amendment to the ground lease agreement between the City and <br />LT Wings, LLC. and an assignment of a ground lease at Cox Field Airport Hangar No. <br />3 from LT Wings, LLC to HT Aero, LLC. <br />Mayor Pankaj said this item was previously tabled because Staff was waiting on <br />inforination from outside the organization. He also said Staff was still waiting on the <br />information, so they would pass this item until next time. <br />
