Public Hearing to consider the petition of Victor Chavez for a change
in zoning from a Multiple-Family Dwelling District No.1 (MF-l) to
a Neighborhood Service District (NS) on Lot 1 and W 15' of Lot 2,
Block 1 of the Anita Park Addition, being number 1705 Margaret
Street.

The public hearing was declared open.

Victor Chavez, 21412 Street NE, would like to build a bakery at this
location. His plans are to live there eventually.

Phil Hamilton, 1734 Margaret Street, in support of the petition
stating that he does not believe that Multiple Family is the best zoning
for this address. Mr. Hamilton said that he does not want to see an
apartment complex come into the neighborhood. He believes that
Neighborhood Service would be appropriate zoning and welcome Mr.
Chavez to the neighborhood. Marvin Cannon, 1750 Margaret and
Brenda Lee, 1745 Margaret, were also in favor of the zoning change.

Joe Iglehart who owns the house across the street did not oppose the
zoning change but wanted to know if the downstairs would be the
bakery and upstairs be the living quarters.

Victor Chavez stated that his intentions were to have two buildings
on the property, a bakery and a house.

T-
