Consideration of and action on the petition of Omega Healthcare Investors for <br />a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Multiple-Family <br />Dwelling District No.2 (MF-2) on a 6.5708 acre tract of land, being a part of the <br />Reddin Russell Survey, Abstract No. 786, and being number 2885 Stillhouse <br />Road. Motion was made by Bobby Myers, seconded by Benny Plata, to <br />approve the request. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />10. Consideration of and action on the Final Plat of Lot 1, Block A, Main Street 250 <br />Addition, being number 2240 N. Main Street. Motion was made by Brad <br />Archer, seconded by Bobby Myers, to approve the plat subject to the City <br />Engineer's recommendation. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Richard Hunt, seconded by Brad Archer, to return <br />Reeves Hayter to the meeting. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />5. Public hearing to consider the petition of Central Presbyterian Church for a <br />change in zoning from a Multiple-Family Dwelling District No.1 (MF-1) to a <br />Multiple-Family Dwelling District No.1 (MF-1) with a Specific Use Permit (5) <br />Cemetery or Mausoleum on Lot 5, City Block 181, being number 309 Church <br />Street. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br /> <br />Tim Davenport Herbst, 309 Church, Pastor, spoke in favor of the <br />petition. Pastor Herbst stated they want to put a columbarium in the <br />ash garden. They had received approval from the City in 1987, but <br />never did it, so they are now asking for official approval. Construction <br />will consist of a concrete pad behind a brick wall, 36" wide by 48" tall, <br />above the ground. The Church is asking for the zoning change only on <br />the ash garden. <br /> <br />Sally McEwin, Church Member, spoke in favor of the petition. Ms. <br />McEwin stated that the area is a 35' by 35' ash garden bounded by the <br />building, a wall, and trees. Initially, there were to be 36 niches. <br /> <br />B. There was no opposition present. <br /> <br />C. The public hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br />6.
