The public hearing was declared open. A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. Tim Davenport Herbst, 309 Church, Pastor, spoke in favor of the petition. Pastor Herbst stated they want to put a columbarium in the ash garden. They had received approval from the City in 1987, but never did it, so they are now asking for official approval. Construction will consist of a concrete pad behind a brick wall, 36" wide by 48" tall, above the ground. The Church is asking for the zoning change only on the ash garden. Sally McEwin, Church Member, spoke in favor of the petition. Ms. McEwin stated that the area is a 35' by 35' ash garden bounded by the building, a wall, and trees.
