<br />Chairman Maberry began discussion about the adoption of City Management, Supervisors, and <br />Employees Safety Responsibilities. Todd Varner made one suggestion. After discussion, Jason <br />Barber made a motion to accept the responsibilities with revisions made. Darrel Dickerson provided <br />the 2nd. The motion passed 6 - O. NOTE: After the employee responsibilities information is <br />complete, it will be presented to the City Manager for final approval and check to see if the statement <br />needs to be reviewed by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Chairman Maberry began discussion regarding personal safety equipment requirements and equipped <br />designated smoking areas. After discussion, the committee agreed that should be a departmental <br />decision. <br /> <br />Chairman Maberry began discussion about employee incentives for safety records. Suggestion of <br />making employee acknowledgments regarding safety, attendance, etc at a City A wards Banquet. The <br />committee also asked to get some input from the administration regarding length time of injury free <br />work and other criteria. <br /> <br />A goal for Amy and Todd is to finish compiling the departments that currently have safety plans. <br />And for those that do not, have a basic plan in place for the committee to review by the next meeting <br />on Tuesday July 3rd, at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Submitted by Todd Varner <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />OG <br />
