SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PARIS <br />August 4, 2008 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a special session at 4:00 P. M. Monday, August <br />4, 2008, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor : Jesse James Freelen <br />Council Members: Joe McCarthy; Kevin Kear; Stephen Brown; <br />Edwin Pickle; and Bill Strathern <br />City Staf£ Kevin Ca.rruth, City Manager; Kent McIlyar, <br />City Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Gene <br />Anderson, Finance Director; Lisa Wright, <br />Community Development Director; Bob <br />Hundley, Assistant Chief of Police; Kent <br />Klinkerman, EMS Director; Ronnie Grooms, <br />Fire Chief; Doug Harris, Interim Director of <br />Utilities; Anthony Bethel, Director of Health <br />Department; Shawn Napier; Director of <br />Engineering; and Priscilla McAnally, Library <br />Director <br />Absent: Council Member: Will Biard <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Freelen called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />2. Deliberate on FY 2008-2009 Budget. <br />Kevin Carruth told the Council that staff would be presenting their departmental <br />organizational charts, as well as information on vehicles and capital equipment. <br />Presentations were made by the following: <br />Kent McIlyar, City Attorney - presented the organizational chart for the City Attorney's <br />Office. <br />Janice Ellis, City Clerk - presented the organizational chart for the City Clerk's Office. <br />Lisa Wright, Director of Community Development - presented the organizational chart and <br />a list of vehicles for Community Development, which included the Main Street Program, Building <br />- fl~PP-13 <br />
