To receive Attorney advice regarding legal issues related to the Preliminary <br />Investigative Report on the diving accident and fatality at the water treatment plant on <br />May 12, 2008. <br />Mayor Freelen reconvened Council into open session at 8:15 p.m. Mayor Freelen announced <br />there was no action to be taken at that time. <br />22. Deliberate on protocols for City Council meetings. <br />Kevin Carruth stated that Council had asked for this item at the last meeting. Council <br />discussed the possibilities of receiving the agenda packets a week in advance, having ordinances go <br />through two readings before adoption, conducting workshops before regular meetings, changing the <br />meeting times and/or days of the months. Mayor Freelen asked Kevin Carruth to discuss these <br />options with staff and get back with Council at the next meeting. <br />24. Consider and approve future events for City Council andlor City Staffpursuant to Resolution <br />No. 2004-081. <br />Kevin Carruth asked Council Members to let him know if they planned to attend the TML <br />Seminar. Mayor Freelen said he would be on vacation the week after Labor Day. <br />25. Deliberate on possible future agenda items. <br />Council Member Pickle requested a discussion item on trash privatization be placed on the <br />next agenda. <br />Kevin Carruth asked that they schedule a budget workshop for Monday, August 4' at 4:00 <br />p.m. and Council did so. <br />26. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, a Motion to adj ourn was made by Council Member McCarthy <br />and seconded by Council Member Pickle. Motion carried, 6 ayes - 0 nays.
