work with students aged S - 18 and grade levels 1 - 12. The officer wiD interact in the class - rooms and in the hallways. He I She will attend school functions and athletic events. The officer will also meet regularly with the school administrators and parent - teacher organizations. The will enforce truancy and curfew regulations. He I She will make themselves available for any law enforcement need or counseling which arises and work as a team with the CISD to enhance the safety of aD concerned. Oualitv and Level of Commitment to Profrnlm: The officer assigned to this project will devote 100% of their time to this project. The officer will work at least 40 hours a week and will also make themselves available for needed extracurricular activities of the school Any overtime accumulated will be paid for by the City of Paris and the CISD. Our plans are to use this grant as a springboard to begin this project for four years and then beyond. We were able to receive previous grants for the Paris ISD and the North Lamar ISD. Both of these projects have been continued after the grant. But, they would have never been able to begin without the grant funding. This funding really improves the life of our youth at school It has significantly impacted our community and student I faculty safety, both in reality and in the minds of students and parents. It is truly appreciated.
