Communications Rooms: Planning and layout design of communications <br />rooms including telecommunications entrance facility (TEF), equipment <br />rooms (ER), telecommunications rooms (TR) and closets, and server rooms. <br /> <br />3. Backbone Communications Infrastructure: Design of backbone <br />communications infrastructure including cable and terminations. <br />Infrastructure typically consists of multi-mode and single-mode fiber optic <br />media, and Category 3 copper media. . <br /> <br />4. Horizontal Communications Infrastructure: Design of horizontal <br />communications infrastructure including cable and terminations. <br />Infrastructure typically consists of Category 5E and/or Category 6 UTP <br />copper media. Additionally, multi-mode fiber optic media may be used in <br />some high speed/bandwidth applications. <br /> <br />5. Communications Hardware: Design of passive installation hardware <br />components such as equipment racks, backboard, cable managers, ladder <br />racks, patch cord managers, d-rings, etc. for telecommunications and data <br />communications. <br /> <br />6. Telecommunications Grounding: Design of a dedicated telecommunications <br />ground buses, bonding backbone cables, and raceways. <br /> <br />C. Scope of Services: <br /> <br />Provide electrical special systems engineering services for the design of <br />communications infrastructure. The design process will ensure the system meets <br />the Owner's requirements and complies with Building Industry Consulting <br />Services International (BiCSi) and EIAffIA standards. A BiCSi Registered <br />Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) will supervise the design. <br /> <br />The following services have been included in our scope of work: <br /> <br />1. Project Meetings: Attend two project meetings in Texas (Dallas or Paris) <br />during the design phase with the Owner, Architect and Contractor. <br />Additional site meetings can be provided as outlined in the fee proposal <br />section. <br /> <br />2.
