These <br />copyrighted standards and recommendations are adopted and designated as <br />the official Fire Code of the Ciry of Paris, except to the extent they are in <br />conflict with any controlling Federal or State law. The standards are published <br />by and are available from the International Code Council, Country Club Hills, <br />Illinois. A copy of the 2006 International Fire Code shall be kept in each of the <br />following locations: The Paris City Library, the City Clerk's office, the Paris <br />Fire Marshal's office and the City's Engineering, Planning & Development <br />office. <br />Sec. 12-52. Definitions. <br />(a) Jurisdiction shall mean the corporate city limits of the City of Paris, <br />Texas. <br />(b) Fire Code Official or Fire Chief shall mean the Fire Marshal of the City of <br />Paris Fire Department. <br />(b) Person shall mean any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation <br />or other legal entity. <br />Sec. 12-53. Fire Code Amendments. <br />The following local amendments repeal or add sections to the 2006 <br />International Fire Code. These amendments shall supersede, replace and/or <br />supplement the 2006 International Fire Code as follows: <br />Section 101.1, Title, shall be amended to include the following: <br />These regulations shall be known as the FIRE CODE of the <br />City of Paris, Texas hereinafter referred to as "this Code" <br />Section 102.4, Application of the code, and it shall be amended as <br />follows: <br />The design and construction of new structures shall <br />comply with this code and the other codes as adopted by the <br />City of Paris, Texas; and any alterations, additions, changes in <br />use or changes in structures required by this code shall be made <br />in accordance therewith. <br />Section 102.6, Referenced codes and standards, shall be amended to <br />read as follows: <br />The codes and standards referenced in this Code shall be <br />those that are listed in Chapter 45 and such codes, when <br />specifically adopted, and standards shall be considered part of <br />the requirements of this Code to the prescribed extent of each <br />such reference.
