provisions of this Code and the referenced standards, the
<br />provisions of this Code shall apply. Whenever amendments
<br />have been adopted to the referenced codes and standards, each
<br />reference to said code and standard shall be considered to
<br />reference the amendments as well. Any reference to NFPA 70
<br />(National Electrical Code) or the ICC Electrical Code shall mean
<br />the Electrical Code as adopted by the City of Paris.
<br />Section 105.6, Required operational permits, shall be amended by
<br />deleting the following subsections: 105.6.1, 105.6.2, 105.6.3, 105.6.4,
<br />105.6.5, 105.6.6, 105.6.7, 105.6.8, 105.6.9, 105.6.10, 105.6.11, 105.6.12,
<br />106.6.13, 105.6.17, 105.6.18, 105.6.19, 105.6.20, 105.6.21, 105.6.22,
<br />105.6.24, 105.6.25, 105.6.26, 105.6.27, 105.6.28, 105.6.29, 105.6.31,
<br />105.6.32, 105.6.33, 105.6.34, 105.6.35, 105.6.36, 105.6.37, 105.6.38,
<br />105.6.39, 105.6.40, 105.6.41, 105.6.42, 105.6.43, 105.6.44, 105.6.45,
<br />and 105.6.46.
<br />Section 105.6.15, Fire hydrants and valves, shall be amended to read as
<br />follows:
<br />An operational permit is required to use or operate fire
<br />hydrants or valves intended for fire suppression purposes
<br />which are installed on water systems and accessible to a fire
<br />apparatus access road that is open to or generally used by the
<br />public.
<br />Exceptions:
<br />1. A permit is not required for authorized employees of the
<br />City of Paris to use or operate fire hydrants or valves in
<br />performance of their duties.
<br />2. A fire permit is not required for a"meter on a fire hydrant"
<br />that is installed in accordance with a billing arrangement
<br />through the City of Paris Water Billing Department and/or
<br />the Lamar County Water Supply District. The Fire Code
<br />Official shall be notified of all meters installed on fire
<br />hydrants.
<br />Section 105.6.23, Hot work operations, shall be amended to read as
<br />follows:
<br />An operational permit is required for hot work during
<br />public exhibitions and demonstrations.
<br />Section 105.6.30, Open Burning shall be deleted and a new Section
<br />105.6.30 added to read as follows:
<br />An operational permit is required to kindle or maintain
<br />any fire defined as "Open burning" in the city limits of the City of
