<br /> <br /> <br /> Scope of Work - Lead Paint Abatement 1rerracon <br /> Grand Theatre ® 21 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas <br /> April 11, 2011 v Terracon Project No. 94107645 <br /> <br /> <br /> 6.0 PRODUCTS <br /> <br /> Amended Water: Provide water to which a surfactant has been added. Use a mixture of <br /> surfactant and water which results in wetting of the ACM and retardation of fiber release <br /> <br /> during disturbance of the material. <br /> Disposal Bags: Provide as a minimum, individual, 6 mil thick, leak-tight, manufactured <br /> polyethylene bags. <br /> <br /> Polyethylene Wrap: Provide minimum 6 mil polyethylene sheeting as a wrapping for <br /> large sections of rigid waste material and for construction of floors and critical barriers in <br /> the containment areas. Provide minimum 4 mil polyethylene sheeting for construction of <br /> walls of the containment. <br /> <br /> Tri-Sodium Phosphate: Provide a detergent solution for cleaning abated surfaces. <br /> <br /> 7.0 VISUAL INSPECTIONIMPE TESTING <br /> <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT shall verify that the Work performed is in compliance with applicable <br /> regulations and that the building areas beyond the Work Area and the outside <br /> environment remain free of contamination. <br /> <br /> Upon completion of the lead paint abatement, in a particular area, and a satisfactory <br /> visual inspection by the Owner's Representative in a given work area, a preliminary <br /> cleaning shall be performed by the Contractor. This cleaning includes removal of any <br /> contaminated material, equipment or debris including polyethylene sheeting from the <br /> work area. Where polyethylene sheeting has been used, it shall be sprayed or misted <br /> with water for dust control, debris removed, and then the sheeting removed by folding it <br /> in upon itself. The following methodology shall be utilized during the cleanup prior to <br /> clearance. <br /> a) The lead-contaminated dust or debris shall be containerized in accordance with <br /> the work plan. <br /> <br /> b) Once the polyethylene sheeting, is removed from the work area, cleaning shall <br /> begin. It shall be done in the following sequence: HEPA vacuum; Tri-Sodium <br /> Phosphate (TSP) wash (or other cleaner approved by the Owner's Representative); <br /> clean water rinsing and HEPA vacuum. <br /> <br /> c) HEPA vacuum all surfaces. Begin with ceilings and proceed down the walls, <br /> including window, doors, all trim, and ending with floors. Begin vacuuming at the <br /> <br /> farthest corner away from the entrance to the work area. <br /> <br /> <br /> ® ® 8 <br /> <br /> <br /> 16'7 <br />
