Scope of Work - Asbestos Abatement Irerracon Grand i heatre ■ 21 Lamar Avenue, Paris, i exas April 14, 2011 m t erracon Project No. 94107645 h) CONTRACTOR will be responsible for the cleaning/deconzamination oi identiiied items which the Owner intends to save due to their historical significance. These items may consist of signs, marquee letters, projectors and/or related equipment. Once these items are cieaned ihey wiil be siored in a designated area pravided by the Owner. These items will be identified by the Consultant prior to beginning remediation. i) Remaining equipment, fixtures and items in the proposed works area are considered contaminated and will be disposed of asbestos waste. These items may consist of desks, concession stand equipment/signs, concession stand wood subfloor, refrigerator, ceiling grid, lightning, water fountains, etc. j) CONTRACTOR will demolish the brick walls that make-up the concession stand area. k) CONTRACTOR will provide a continuous fire watch whenever an active containment is in operation. I) If the CONTRACTOR does not perform load out through the decontamination chamber a separate waste load out chamber will be connected to the work area, with material ingress and egress through a flapped doorway constructed of six millimeter polyethylene sheeting. The exit of the waste load out area will also be constructed with six millimeter polyethylene flapped doorvuay. The water used during the waste load out procedures as a resuit of cleaning the outside of the bags will be properly filtered prior to discharge. No personnel may use this for ingress or egress in the containment area. m) Drawings provided depict the general locations of the identified asbestos- containing materials (ACM's) to be abated. The drawings show the basic configuration of the identified ACM's and are provided for informational purposes. The CONTRACTOR will perform work for materials present, regardless of actual quantities or extent of material and no increase in Contract amount will be allowed for quantity adjustment. n) Owner will provide sources of power and water for the project, it will be the CONTRACTOR's responsibility to route each to the area of usage at the CONTRACTOR's expense. o) CONTRACTOR's fee will include the cost of the electrician/plumber expense for abatement area "make safe." p) CONTRAGTaR will include the cost of ihe TDSHS notisicafion iee in 17eir base bic~. ~ ■ _ _c~. - 'i~-~_._
