<br />scribed in Annexation Ordinance No. 1617, a point where
<br />the present City Limits Line located along the South
<br />Right-o.f-Way of Loop 286 connects with i:he present
<br />City Limits Line running North across the Loop on the
<br />West side of the Lalce Road.
<br />Containing 50.31 Acres more or less of land.
<br />was held at Paris, Texas, on the 9th day of March, 1970, which
<br />date is not more than twenty nor less than t'en days prior to
<br />the a.nstitution of annexation proceedings; and,
<br />WHE-REAS, notice of such public hearin g was published in a
<br />newspaper having general circulation in the City of Paris, Texas,
<br />and in the above described territory, on the 20th day of February,
<br />1970, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days
<br />priox to the date of such public hearing; and,
<br />WHER EAS, the population of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
<br />is in excess of 5,000 and less than 25,000 inhabitants; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the above described texritory lies within the
<br />extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris, Paris,
<br />Texas; and,
<br />WHIIZEAS, the above descxibed territory lies adjacent to
<br />an diadjoins the City o.f Paris, Paris, Texas; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the above described terr"itory contains 50.31
<br />acres, more or less, which is less than ten per cent (1070) of
<br />the present acreage contained in the corporate limits of the
<br />City of Paris, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT OKDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARTS, TEXAS:
<br />Section 1. The following described land and territory
<br />lying adjacent to and adjoining the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
<br />is hereby added and annexed to the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
<br />and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be in-
<br />cluded within the boundary limits of the City of Paris,
<br />Texas, and the present boundary limits of said city, at the
<br />vaxious points contiguous to the area hereinafter described,
<br />are altered and amended so as to include said area within the
<br />corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas, to-wit:
<br />Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas,
<br />` and described as follows:
<br />Beginning in the present City Limits Line that now
<br />exists in the South Right-of-Way line of State Highway
<br />Loop 286 N.W., as described in Annexation Ordinance No.
<br />1617, dated February 11, 1963, Tract #2, said point
<br />being 1996.4 feet more or less in a Southwest direction
<br />with the South Right-of-Way Line of Loop 286 from the
<br />Southwest corner of the Leg of State Highway F.M. 79,
