Regular Meeting City Council <br />June 14, 2004 <br />Page 19 <br />by Councilman Bell for acceptance and was seconded by Councilman Guest. <br />It carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2004-111, approving and authorizing the execution of a service <br />agreement with a letter of agency to Hubbard Communications Group, Inc. for <br />professional and personal services in performing telephone bill auditing, <br />inventory, and consulting services, was presented. Councilman Bell asked if <br />there was any cost to the City. City Attorney indicated that the only cost was <br />out of pocket expenses incurred, which should be nominal. HCG gets 50% of <br />the refunds it locates. Interim City Manager Townsend indicated the last time <br />the City did this, they made money. Councilman Bell made a motion to approve <br />the resolution, which was seconded by Councilwoman Fisher. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2004-112, appointing Karen Wilkerson and Mary Ann Fisher <br />as members to the Ark-Tex Council of Governments, was presented. <br />Councilman Bell made a motion to approve, which was seconded by <br />Councilman Guest. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Action on a resolution appointing members to the Band Commission was <br />tabled on a motion from Councilman Bell, which was seconded by <br />Councilman Poston. There was a question of one of the appointees last names, <br />whether it was Davis or Daniels. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 113, appointing Bill Kennedy and Carl Lucas as members to the <br />Library Advisory Board, and reappointing Jake Street, was presented. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Bell, which was seconded by Councilman Guest, for <br />approval. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2004-114, appointing Benny Plata as a member of the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission and reappointing Marshall Kent, was presented. <br />Councilman Bell mentioned the Council had received a recent report of some <br />not attending the Planning and Zoning Commission meetings.
