After testing, <br />arrangements shou1d be made for providing transportation for the employee <br />to the employee's residence. The employee's opportunity to return to work <br /> <br />before test results are returned shall be at the discretion of the supervisor, <br /> <br />depending on the employee's observed condition or advice of a physician. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />immediately provide appropriate Personnel Department representatives the identity <br />of the employee who is being tested and why. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />not discuss employee testing with other City employees, except on a need-to-know <br />basis. Unless legally required, no other individuals will be advised of test results. <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />CONSEQUENCES OF TEST RESULTS - The following guidelines will be used to <br />determine acceptability of test results and procedures to be observed when an employee's <br />controlled substance or alcohol screening results are unacceptable. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />All unacceptable alcohol screening results are: <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />based upon levels established by the D.O. T. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Breath alcohol test measures between 0 and .02 will be <br />considered rated passing. <br /> <br />2. Breath alcohol test measures greater than .02 will be <br />unacceptable and rated failing. <br /> <br />automatically reviewed by the Medical Review Officer. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />When alcohol screening results are unacceptable: <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />Personnel Department representative will notify the supervisor of resu1ts. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />the supervisor will determine appropriate action based on the following <br />guidelines: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Breath alcohol test measures greater than .02 up to but not including <br />.04: <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />Employee will be sent home on administrative leave with pay <br />for a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours and must re-test <br />prior to returning to duty. <br /> <br />57 <br /> <br />Rev. 10/27/04 <br />
