<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> "(b) Plumbing hazard shall mean an internal or plumbing cross- <br /> connection in a consumer's potable water system that may be a pollutional <br /> contamination type hazard. This includes, but is not limited to, cross- <br /> connections to toilets. <br /> <br /> "(c) Pollutional hazard shall mean an actual or potential threat to the <br /> physical properties of the water system or the potability of the public or the <br /> consumer's potable water system but which would not constitute a health <br /> or system hazard, as defined. <br /> <br /> "(d) System hazard shall mean an actual or potential threat of severe <br /> danger to the physical properties of the public or the consumer's potable <br /> water system or a pollution or contamination which would have a protracted <br /> effect on the qualiry of the potable water in the system. <br /> <br /> "Industrial fluids system shall mean any system containing a fluid or solution <br /> which may be chemically, biologically, or otherwise contaminated or polluted in <br /> a form or in concentrations which would constitute a hazard if introduced into an <br /> approved water supply. <br /> <br /> "Non potable water shall mean water which is not safe for human consumption <br /> or which is of questionable potability. <br /> <br /> "OSHA shall mean the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. <br /> <br /> "Reduced pressure principle device shall mean an assembly of two independently <br /> acting approved check-valves together with a hydraulically operating, mechanically <br /> independent pressure relief valve located between the check-valves and, at the same <br /> time, below the first check-valve. <br /> <br /> <br /> "Service connection shall mean the connection from the City's potable water <br /> system to the customer's service line. <br /> <br /> "TNRCC shall mean the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission. <br /> <br /> "Used water shall mean any water supplied by City of Paris Water Treatment <br /> Plant from the potable water system to a consumer's water system after it has <br /> passed through the point of delivery and is no longer under the sanitary control of <br /> the City of Paris Water Utilities Department. <br /> <br /> "Water Utilities Superintendent shall mean the Water Utilities Superintendent of <br /> the Ciry of Paris. <br /> <br /> "Sec.25-21. System. <br /> <br /> "(a) The Paris Utility System shall consist of the source facilities and the <br /> distribution system and shall include only those facilities of the water system under <br /> the complete control of the City, to the point where the customer's system begins. <br /> That point shall be the first connection beyond the meter union or the discharge <br /> union of the meter setter, if a meter setter is present. <br /> <br /> "(b) The source shall include all components of the facilities utilized in the <br /> production, treatment, storage, and delivery of water to the distribution system. <br /> <br /> "(c) The distribution system shall include the network of conduits used for the <br /> delivery of water from the source to the customer's system. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 3 <br />
