4.4. Hardware: All hardware to be put id operating condidon. New keys must be turned over to homeowner as <br />work is compieted. <br />4.5, Utilities: Use exisring or provide own at Contractor's expensc if existing is insufficient. Homeowner must <br />provide a11 existing utilities as is and must be responsible for continuous maintenance and payment of <br />existing utilities. Contractor will be responsible to determine utility eeeds to provide adequate sanitary <br />facility and to safely opecate equipment at all dmes on site. <br />4.6. Unforeseen damage or Change in Scope of Work: Discovery of defective elements made known W the <br />Contractor before or during the construction process must be brougtrt w the immediate attention of the <br />Contract Administcator in wdting. When repaics are made, the repairs must reasonably mateh the <br />surrounding materials in original design aad dimension as appmved by the Contract Adtninistrator. <br />4.7. Where additional work is necessary to make repairs or to correct unforesezn dangerous conditions, the <br />Contractor must submit to the Conttact Administrator a work write-up of the work, cost of such work, and <br />the time necessary for such work. Unless it is deteTmined there exists an immediate health and safety <br />danger, NO WORK MUST BE AUTHORIZED until xgreed apon in wridng by the homeowner, <br />Contraetor, and Contract Adminietrator. Compensation for additional work will be negotiated in the <br />following maanet: <br />A. The deletion of work proposed, but not started; or if that ie not possible; <br />B. An inccease to the dollar amount of the contract, however, epproval of such increase require the <br />homeowner, contractor, Contract Administrator, and State of Texas HOME program written <br />approval. <br />C. Addidonsl Work - No other work must be done to the project other than the work agreed upon in <br />writing by the homeowner, Contract Administrator and contractor or as necessary to romove <br />iaunediato hoakth and safety dangers during the construction phase. <br />4.8. The Job Sitc <br />A. At the job site the contractor must obtain and display all pecmits and inspection tags as requirod by <br />the local Inspection Department. <br />B. The Contraotor must use the site and its fecilitiea only for the constiuction stipalated in the "work <br />write-up". The electrical, sanitary waste, water, and gas systems must be uscd only for <br />conshvction pwposes and dwiag the eonstruction phase or dwing warranty work. <br />C. Any discrepancy in the contract documents must immediately be brought to the attention of the <br />Coatract AdminisUator. <br />5.0 Stte Work <br />53. Materials <br />A. All on-site fill material must be soil or soil rock mixture which is free of organic matt,et or other <br />deletsrious substances. It must contain no rocks or lumps ova 6d in greatest dimension, and not <br />more than 15% must be larger than 2 Y2 b' in greatest dimension. <br />8. Imported fill roaterial- must conform with 2.1 but must have a msximum particle size of 2V in <br />greaoest dimension. <br />C.
